Oh, it's THAT time of year again. SPRING. The prettiest of them all. Flowers everywhere, on the trees on the streets and it smells divine in every step! You know I love flowers, every kind, but especially pink.

So, I just couldn't help myself when I saw THIS dress on Waistliners covered in pink flowers, I knew I had to make it mine! In this photoshoot, I am wearing it with a petticoat, but it is as beautiful without it, just not as puffy! You can wear it day and/or night in any occasion, casual or formal and you will steal the spotlight, trust me.

I know that you want it too, so I have a 10% discount for you!! How awesome is that, right?! If you want to buy this dress or any dress you like from the Waistliners collection, you can use the code DUCHESS10 when ordering.

The amazing style of Dita Von Teese

When I first discovered Dita, it was in the early 00s inside the pages of a female magazine, where she was pictured performing her bourlesque show inside a gigantic martini glass! I was so fascinated not only by the uniqueness of her idea dancing in a glass, but also by the fact that there was a woman, that was not skinny (back then, you had to be very skinny to be considered worthy appearing in a magazine), taking showbiz by storm!

The years passed and Dita is one of the most stylish women alive, she is actually a reference in the fashion world and her style is considered iconic. Her daily outfits consist of feminine 40s & 50s looks modernized in her own unique and sexy way always featuring her trademark, her tiny waist of 56 cm that can be laced down as far as 42 cm!

Here are some of my favorite Dita looks. Enjoy!

Le Tutu

I ADORE tutu skirts. If you wanna make me happy, just give me a fluffy tutu skirt and you will absolutely make my day! I have 10 in my closet: 3 black, 2 with polka dots, 1 white, 2 pink, 1 baby blue (dress), 1 dark red (dress) and I will keep on buying, you can bet on that!

Whenever I wear a tutu skirt, I am in my natural state. It feels so comfortable, so me! Tutu skirts have been my favorite since I was very very little, basically a toddler. I was attending ballet classes since I was 3 years old and my mom thought I enjoyed dancing, which I did; but the tutus were actually the prize! As a young adult, I had to become more "serious" but every time I 'd see a girl wearing a tutu, I desperately wanted one for myself. Now, free from "musts" and "donts" I wear whatever makes me feel and look at my best, at least the way I see myself.

I advise you to do the same. Trust me, you will be liberated.

Cropping Season

Hat // ASOS

Skirt // Stradivarius, similar here
Shoes // ZARA (very old), similar here
Purse // Massimo Dutti (very old), similar here

Although I find crop tops 'corny' when I see women wearing them with low-waist jeans (aka too much skin), I believe that if paired with high-waist skirts and trousers, those same crop tops can be very flattering. You can create a flirty outfit just by adding a pair of comfy heels, a small purse and a hat, perfect for a "first date" or any date!

Spring is the season that you can officially start wearing crop tops until the end of October without feeling cold. Just go for it =)
